App of the Week...

One Dot Enemies

One dot enemies is a very small app. What you do is touch little (emphasize on little) dot enemies to kill them. You cant lose, you cant win, and the sounds get annoying after a while. After touching the screen numerous times killing enemies, you can collect your total amount. That's it. It is fun for about 5 minutes max. Over all a 2 out of 5 star. If you're into useless apps, it is free, so check it out.

Powder Toy

Powder Toy is yet another sand or particle physics engine game. This has a few elements but with great physics and graphics. The link is to the left, you have to make an account and download it to your Mac or PC or whatever. It is my favorite of the 3 sand games out there with many possibilities of creations. I have an account, so if you want to check out my creations, search user:pinklink ( no space). Sadly, I have a stealer or thief on my hands, he steals other peoples creations, and he got a hold of mine. Well go check the game out if your into that stuff.
This is Ipod Blogger, signing off.

App of the Week...

The app is...
Squeeze it

Squeeze it is a fun photo cropping sort of app that allows for two things, squeeze or move your selected picture, or make it wobble. I got it when it was free (not sure if it's free still) but I gotta say, it is fun to mess around with. Over all a 4 out of 5 stars, it is defiantly worth checking out.

App of the Week...

Yes you heard me right, it is now the app of the week.
The app is...
Field Runners

Field runners is a Defense game with a twist. Instead of having a pre-set path for enemies to follow, you build your own path out of guns, bombs, flamethrowers and et cetera. The goal is to destroy groups of enemies in 100 with out losing 20 lives. Different enemies, weapons, unlockables, and stages give a unique feel for each war. Enemies range from free hand soldiers, to helicopters. They enemies do not shoot back and you need money to build towers. To get money, defeat enemies. Overall a 4 1/2 star, a great game for $2.99. The only problems are that it closes out of the game, (for me at least) and needs more money to start out with.

App of the Day...

Sorry I havent posted for a while, Easter and stuff, anyway...
The App is...
Ocarina
Ocarina is a musical entertainment app for $.99. It has 4 "holes" to put your fingers on, and if you have an iPhone, just blow into the mic for sound. Smule has made an update for Ocarina, so now ipod touch users can use it too. Smule's website contains songs for you to play and make, and create an account to post your songs. The link is to the left. This is a great app for all music lovers, or people who like a unique app. Overall a 5 out of 5 stars. A great app for all users, no wonder why it has been named #3 in the top 20 apps of all time.

App of the Day...

And the App is...
iBeer
iBeer is a fun entertainment app for $1.99, for the ipod touch and iphone. It is a gag kind of things, and gets a few laughs out of everyone. The main screen gives you options on 4 different beers, and 1 mouthwash. After you select your beer, it comes up and you tilt, to sip away. The beer looks decently real, and the option of a burp afterward is funny. Overall a 4 out of 5 stars. The app has a lot to offer, and the beer is pretty realistic.

App of the Day...

And the App is...
Spawn Illuminati

Spawn Illuminati is an entertainment app for the iphone or ipod touch. The app has no real point, except to show the brilliant and vibrant art. The lights fly around, bounce, and spin. You have the option to control speed, color, gravity, size, or style, so you'll have a different feel each time. This is a great app if your bored, or plug in some headphones and listen to some music. This app features a mic input mode for those iphone users, but since I have an ipod touch, i'm not sure what it is. Over all, a 5 star. This will provide hours of entertainment, even though it is $2.99.

App of the Day...

And the App of the Day is...
Just Fillin'

Just Fillin' is a fun and simple app. The game requires you to blow bubbles as large as possible, before they are popped by the spikes. To win, you need to fill the screen with bubbles, to raise the water to the top. Each level gains more spikes, and more bubbles and pops. The game has infinite levels, but lacks anything new. The game gets old after a while, so it isn't going to offer hours of gaming experience. Overall a 3 out of 5. It is $.99, but the levels are basically the same after 20 levels.

Tap Tap Tap.

Tapulous has been one of the most successful app store companies since it first started. Their first release, Tap Tap Revenge, was at the top for some time (a lot). They have released many more Tap Tap series like, Tap Tap Revenge: Weezer, Tap Tap Revenge 2, Tap Tap Revenge: NIN, and Tap Tap Dance. They have also released Tap Tap Revenge: Coldplay, today. I haven't tried Weezer, NIN, or the Coldplay editions, but I will when I get the chance. Tapulous continues to impress us, and I wonder what's coming next.

App of the Day...

And the App of the Day is...
Pocket God

Pocket God is a fun entertainment app, for only $.99. There is no goal or mission in the game. The app is simple, but very fun. You
are the "god" of up to six islanders on a small island. And basically, you torcher them. You can throw a boulder at them, or fling them in the ocean, or even zap them with lightning. The best part is that it updates each week. New stuff to do, each week. So the game never really gets old, and at $.99, it's a steal, I highly suggest it. Overall, a
4 1/2 star, I really wish there would be some nice things to do for the islanders.

Okami Review.

Like app reviews I will be reviewing games as well. The game okami features great cell-shaded japanese graphics, with a crisp feel to it. It has a long story to it, but basically you're a god reborn and have to learn the 13 brush techniques to defeat an evil dragon. That's right, you're a dog, and you paint. The characters have multiple personalities, and the different places you go to are never alike. It is a great game and has side quests to do after you beat the game. The control is great, the graphics are outstanding, and it has a different experience than most games. Over all a 10 out of 10, this is a must buy game.

Suggestions?

Okay, so if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions for news, apps, or reviews, comment or email me at griffyrocks@gmail.com.

App of the Day...

And the App of the Day is...
Bomber Online

If you've ever played the Original Bomberman game and loved it, you'll love this too. Bomber online is a simple game where you run around a stage and blow up obstacles and enemies. Its basically king of the hill, the last one standing wins. I got this app for $.99 in the app store, but the price has been raised to $3.99. I love the online play and chat, the explosions are beautiful, and the game wont get old. Sadly, I wouldn't pay $4 on it. If you love Bomberman, or even multiplayer games go and check it out. Overall, this gets a 4 1/2 star, but the price should be lowered.

Zelda News: The Spirit Tracks?

The new Legend of Zelda game is announced, and is the sequel to Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass. It is coming hopefully this year, just in time for the DSi's release. The title is The Legend of Zelda: (the) Spirit Tracks. This means that you, link, will be riding a train with a... cannon.
The game features new weapons and of course, those great double-screen boss fights. So let us hope for another great Zelda game. Nintendo hasn't dissapointed us yet.

Weekly Websites

So today, I'm going to post 2 websites, much like the M.O.T.E.S. game.
The first game is Powder game, the web link is dan-ball.jp/en (to the right). This has loads of elements and even players and uploaded levels. This is a fun site to really play around with. It is updated once every month or so, and is sure to make you addicted.
The next game is Falling Sand, the link is Fallingsand.com (also to the right). This has less elements, no players or uploads, and never updates. But it has different games to choose from, more explosive elements, and zombies (stick people you can't control) to torcher. It is also easy to get addicted as well.

Nintendo DSi

Nintendo DSi

As most of you know, the newest handheld Nintendo device is soon to come, for $169.99. It has 2 cameras, one facing you, one away. It has a bigger screen with full internet capabilities, and a customized menu. It features the DSiWare, like Wii Ware, it uses points to get games. The microphone is also enhanced, you can now listen to music too.
Sadly, it lacks a GBA slot, but adds an SD card slot. Whether you're a gaming fan or not, the DSi is sure to please you.

App of the Day...

The first app is...
M.O.T.E.S

This is a physics based entertainment app for $3.99.
Surprisingly, this is not a popular app in the app store and should be given more credit. You have a choice of 9 elements and 1 variations of that element.
It is completely accelerometer controlled, has customized backgrounds, has different life options and has a calm feel to it. Overall, this gets a 4 star rating, it would be great with more elements.
